The Easton Fire Department Fire Explorers were recently part of an exciting training event. While under close supervision by department officers and firefighters they had the opportunity to participate in a limited live burn excercise.
An event like this allows the Explorers to gain practical experience in a safe and controlled setting.
Charged lines are at hand for safety. Operating the lines affords an opportunity to learn about fire streams in action.
Here an Explorer is helping to contain smoldering embers.
Safety is always paramount. Appropriate equipment and experienced firefighters were on hand for the excercise.
